First investments in private equityThe German industrialist family, Harald Quandt (HQ), made their first investments in Private Equity in the United States.
1989
FoundationTo gain access to private equity and benefit from diversification, HQ Capital was founded in New York as Auda by its shareholders.
1995
Access for external investorsWith growing interest in highly diversified private equity portfolios, HQ Capital began to provide access to institutional investors with expanded solutions and services.

EuropeTo be locally available for European investors, the German office in Bad Homburg was opened.

AsiaAs one of the first foreign investors, HQ Capital enters the Asian private equity market by establishing an office in Hong Kong.
