HQ Capital welcomes LFPI as new shareholder

Bad Homburg/Paris, March 29, 2023. Alternative asset manager LFPI has acquired a majority stake in global private equity specialist HQ Capital. In addition to LFPI, the Harald Quandt family will retain a significant long-term stake in HQ Capital through HQ Holding.

Concurrent with a generational change in the Harald Quandt family, HQ Holding and HQ Capital examined strategic options, along with their shareholders, in order to initiate the next step in the development of the firm, last year. During the summer of 2022, LFPI completed a strategic agreement to purchase a majority stake in HQ Capital. Following the required regulatory review and approval process the transaction has officially closed.

The French LFPI Group has more than 20 years of investment expertise in real estate, private debt, and private equity. Its business activities are focused mainly in Europe and North America.

Both parties have agreed not to disclose additional details of the transaction.
